How do I measure lug width?
Lug width is the distance between the inner edges of your watch lugs, measured in millimetres.
Use a caliper or ruler to measure the space where the strap attaches to the case.

Lug Widths Offered
Our straps are available in lug widths ranging from 18mm to 22mm, including odd lug widths. If you require a size outside this range, please visit our Made To Order programme.

Lug Tolerances
In some cases, tight lug tolerances may require curved-end straps or reduced leather thickness around lugs.

Integrated Lugs or Bracelets
Watches with integrated lugs or bracelets require specific attachments for strap installation and are not compatible with our straps.
How do I choose the correct strap length?
Strap length is determined by wrist circumference, watch proportions and how the strap sits on your wrist. Lug-to-lug length also matters – see the section below for guidance.
To measure:
- Measure your wrist using a tape or string
- Compare it with our guide below
- Consider hole range and buckle placement for comfort
Tip: Use your current strap as a reference.
- 120/80 (total 200mm) → slightly long? Try 115/75 (total 190mm)
- Prefer shorter? 105/70 (total 175mm) reduces length further
Our Standard Strap Lengths
Standard Length: 115 / 75
Suitable for wrist sizes 165 – 190mm (6.5 – 7.5in)
Short Length: 105 / 70
Suitable for wrist sizes 145 – 175mm (5.7 – 6.9in)
Sizing tip: If you are between sizes (for example, a wrist size of 168mm), we generally recommend choosing the larger size for better balance and comfort.

What is lug-to-lug length?
Lug-to-lug length is the distance from the tip of one lug to the tip of the opposite lug on a watch case. It affects how the watch sits on your wrist and what strap length is needed.
Watches with a longer lug-to-lug length typically require a shorter strap, as more of the wrist is already occupied by the case. More compact watches may require additional strap length for proper balance and comfort.
How do I measure buckle and tang width?
Buckle width: Measure the inner width of the buckle where the strap passes through
Tang width: Measure the width of the tang that passes through the strap holes
Tang notch width: Measure the width of the portion of the tang that rests against the strap (may differ from tang width)
Our Standard Buckle Specifications
For straps with 18–21mm lug widths: 16mm buckle width, 2mm tang and notch width
For straps with 22mm lug widths: 18mm buckle width, 2mm tang and notch width
